Recent Wedding Pictures: Grand Newport Plaza, Costa Mesa, CA
Monica captured these storybook images of a recent wedding at the Turnip Rose Grand Newport Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. One of the great things about choosing a wedding-focused venue is that the staff know exactly what they’re doing, so typically the only hitch that happens is the one the guests came to see. It is liberating to know that the ceremony and reception will be gorgeous and no details missed. But here’s something to keep in mind when planning an outdoor wedding at any venue: make sure you know what time the sun is expected to go down! It’s always preferable to take formal group shots (and portraits of the bride and groom) during the daytime if you’re marrying outdoors. In this wedding, we ran into the evening for the portraits, but with a little extra light from the videographer, and a low aperture on the lens, we captured some amazing photographs nonetheless.
